Hey Denise!
Welcome to the TMB! I am a Bandster. I am almost 7 yrs post op and still going strong. I lost 140lbs originally, had a baby and now need to lose the 40lbs that I found. So I'm down to "only" having lost 100lbs. I go tomorrow for a fill.
My body stalls all the time. When it happens I have to change things up. Our bodies have a way of learning our "tricks". I get to where I'm eating the same foods everyday for weeks- same foods means same amount of calories. When I change things up just a little I notice that my body starts to go back into lose mode, Sometimes I even add more calories for a bit. Here's an example of a former stall:
B: protein bar 100calories
Snack: cheese stick 100 calories
L: 1/2 Lean Cuisine Dinner 125 calories
snack: almonds 100 calories
D: Varied, usually chicken and veggies 200 calories
Drink: tea, coffee, water 200 calories
water aerobics 30 mins 3x week
total 825 calories
worked for about 50lbs of weight loss then I stalled for a month and changed to:
B: Yogurt 100 calories
Snack- beef jerky 90 Calories
L: salad- 200 calories
snack- sbux 250 calories
D: steak, pasta, veggies 300 calories
940 calories
runnng 2hrs week
My caloric intake wasn't much different, my exercise wasn't much different, but the change in when I consumed calories and all seemed to change the weight loss.
Having support is paramount in this journey. Unless you have walked in the shoes of an obese person and undergone WLS you don't know what it is like. Even those closest to me have no idea. They try but it's not the same.
Good luck! I'm here for you!
